International Experience
I was born in Slidell, Louisiana, just outside of New Orleans to an English mother and a German-American father who met in Kuwait. My mother moved around a lot as a child due to my grandfather serving in the Royal Air Force. She lived in different parts of England, as well Ghana and other African countries. My father also moved around quite a bit during his childhood because his father worked with the United States Navy. Later, my father continued to pursue work opportunities in Latin America, East Asia, the Middle-East, and throughout Africa. My parents did not settle down after my younger brother and I were born, instilling in us their love for travel.
I have been lucky enough to have had multiple experiences to live, travel, and study abroad. These experiences in the United Kingdom, Europe, Latin America, and China have helped shape me into the person I am today.

Two of the definite highlights of my college career have been the semesters I spent studying abroad in Madrid, Spain and Chengdu, China. In both cases I was studying Spanish and Chinese, respectively, which you can read more about here. However, living and studying abroad is about far more than just studying. I thoroughly enjoyed my semesters abroad and had some truly unforgettable experiences.
