When I was touring schools during my senior year of high school and trying to decide on a university, one of the big decision factors for me was that the school not only had a good study abroad program, but that it was encouraged and actively promoted. Even before graduating high school I had my heart set on a semester (at least one) abroad.

I did not wait around for my chance to go abroad, I spent my third semester of college, Fall 2013, in the capital of Spain: Madrid. The main focus of my studies while abroad was on improving my Spanish language skills.
